The Algarve Monday is a weekly English-language digest of the western Algarve: the municipalities of Lagos, Vila do Bispo, Aljezur, Portimao, Lagoa, Silves, Monchique and Albufeira, the region the Portuguese call the Barlavento. One edition every Monday morning, plus evergreen guides in between.

How it is made. Each week we gather the region's news reporting, official event listings and community conversation, then write one digest with every claim linked to its source. We summarise and link; we do not republish other people's work. Photographs are our own or carry licences that allow free use, with credits given.
