Privacy & cookies
What we collect, the cookies we set, and how to change your mind.
The Algarve Monday is published from Praia da Luz, Portugal. Contact us any time at thealgarvemonday@villaluxluz.com.
Cookies and similar technologies
When you first visit, we ask for your consent before setting any cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser (a small record named tamConsent) for 12 months, after which we ask again. If you decline, no analytics or affiliate tracking loads at all.
If you accept, two things are enabled:
Google Analytics 4, which we use to understand anonymously which pages are read and where readers come from. Google sets cookies for this purpose; we do not use the data for advertising and we do not see who you are.
Travelpayouts affiliate tracking, which upgrades some of our links to travel services (for example tours, car hire or transfers) so that if you book, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The booking site may set a cookie so the purchase is credited to us. It never influences what we cover.
Changing your mind
Use the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page. It clears your stored choice and shows the consent banner again.
The newsletter
If you subscribe by e-mail, your address is stored with our e-mail provider, Sender.net, and used only to send you The Algarve Monday. Every e-mail contains an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing removes you from the list.
What we do not do
We do not sell or share your personal data, we do not run advertising networks, and we do not track you across other websites.
